During the justification stage of Mine2-4D the original cost savings were quantified in man hours of work which could be reduced by the software. Using this approach a payback period of 3 months was calculated and the software was purchased.

Since this time the software has more than proven itself in the ability to turn around projects.

Scheduled highly complex panel caving operation of approximately 16million tpa (LOM of 40 years) in 4 days. Multiple tonnage and rate scenarios were investigated due to the speed at which the software produces schedules. IROR was increased from 11% to 20% on the project.

Found that manual scheduling resulted in a "human error" loss of 15,000 ounces of gold over the LOM of primary mine. Mine2-4D removes this loss by not relying on spreadsheets and human transfer of information.
Jason May, Senior Planning Engineer, Newcrest Mining Australia

Mine2-4D is helping us to obtain a better understanding of both mine design and scheduling issues in a geologically complex, narrow vein orebody. The ability to have designs, surveyed as-builts, CMS, geological block models, and drilling, in the same database and linked together to generate the LOM, 18 month plan, budget, and monthly plan is critical to the efficient running of this operation.
Martin Raffield - Chief Mining Engineer, Campbell Mine, Placer Dome, Canada

We believe Mine 2-4D is the next generation in mine design; it links the design and scheduling into one package and enables the user to analyze the results in a three-dimensional view.
Peter McCarthy - Managing Director, AMC, Australia

In my experience as a mining engineer, I design mine layouts, conduct evaluations, produce schedule data, etc.  Design manipulation, reporting on designs, evaluations, etc are vital to the mine design and planning process at Target.  In my exposure to various mine design and scheduling packages in the past, I have found 'M24D' to be a very effective package in achieving these goals.  It certainly is the appropriate mine design and scheduling tool to use on a deep level, multi reef, trackless mine such as Target.  In the past, without Mine2-4D, a life of mine plan was produced only once a year.  Now, with M24D, we can produce three or more life of mine plans a year.

It is continually being developed according to our requirements... the back up customer service is EXCELLENT!
Daniel Heyl - Senior Mining Engineer, Target Mine, South Africa

At Target Mine the complex composite ore body requires an extremely flexible design and scheduling package.  For this reason Target evaluated all similar packages to determine our unique specifications.  Mine2-4D proved to be the superior package by far (a package and a half).
Pieter Potgieter - Senior Mining Engineer, Target Mine, South Africa

The developers of the product, African Computer Mining Services, had claimed, amongst many other things, Mine2-4D reduced planning times by up to 90% and allowed a far more rapid response to 'what-if' scenarios:

I'm here to tell you the package does this and more."
Peter Mokos - Senior Mining Engineer, AMC, Australia

Mine2-4D did in 1 day what it would take me 2 weeks with current methods.
Brendan Zuidema, Mine Planner, Falconbridge, Canada

The management team had requested a particular development advance per day. ACMS put this scenario together and completed the job slightly ahead of schedule. The same team asked to double the rate and complete the financial model as well. ACMS produced this result and did this additional work before the original due date. That showed me the power of the scheduling tool.
Eric Hinton - Long Range Planner, INCO South Mine, Canada

The work done here at Kidd is, and was, ground breaking for both Kidd and ACMS. We hope to continue the business relationship to create new and exciting processes for the mining industry.
Bob Taylor - Head of Special Projects, Kidd Creek Mine, Falconbridge, Canada
