The Engineering Department – those responsible for Short-term and Long-term Planning, Scheduling, Geological Interrogations, Drill Hole Planning, etc... Mine2-4D is not a black box that replaces the engineer. It is a tool that allows engineers to do THEIR JOB, which is the complete reverse of the planning and scheduling packages available on the market. Other packages have more or less reduced the engineer’s job to that of a pseudo Database Manager. During the course of producing a plan, engineers can spend 90% of the time manipulating data and 10% of the time doing the work that is actually making the company money... using engineering know-how. Mine2-4D turns this ratio around requiring 10% of the time to format the data and 90% of the time to apply engineering principles.
